The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) stated that it has received investor reports of being unable to access their funds and has taken action to shut down multiple Yepbit websites. ASIC simultaneously denied Yepbit's false claims that the regulator had frozen investor funds, pointing out that Yepbit operates in Australia without the required financial services authorization and is not registered on AUSTRAC's Virtual Asset Service Provider register. Previously, regulators in the Philippines and Ghana had also issued warnings against Yepbit.
