Publicly listed Bitcoin mining companies have sold 28,000 Bitcoin this year, worth $1.78 billion, according to Blockware Intelligence data.
The selling volume, while lower than Bitcoin spot ETF outflows, could have an outsized impact on the market even with relatively moderate and steady selling during a downward trend with weak buying, CoinDesk reported. Many miners are facing a profit squeeze, with an average mining cost of $74,300, prompting an increasing number of companies to pivot to artificial intelligence, leveraging their high-voltage power capacity to support this transition.
