US Mortgage Rates Today, August 12: 30-Year Fixed Rate Rises to 6.65%, 15-Year Fixed to 6.00%
According to Zillow lender marketplace data, the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate increased by 6 basis points to 6.65% today, Wednesday, August 12. The 15-year fixed loan rate also rose by 3 basis points to 6.00%. The 5/1 adjustable-rate mortgage (ARM) saw a slight decrease of 1 basis point to 6.51%.
