Giacomo Zucco noted on The Block podcast that the failed BIP-110 Bitcoin fork offered an "educational" lesson on how difficult it would be to recreate Bitcoin from scratch today, as the conditions of the network's early development are almost impossible to replicate. BIP-110, championed by veteran Bitcoin developer Luke Dashjr, aimed to change Bitcoin's consensus rules to curb "spam" on the network but failed to gain sufficient support. Zucco also criticized the recent decision to remove Dashjr from his role as a Bitcoin Improvement Proposal (BIP) editor, calling it "the wrong move at the wrong time" and potentially fueling conspiracy theories about the centralization of Bitcoin development.
