Berkshire Hathaway’s Google stake has exceeded $24.2 billion, making it its fifth-largest holding.
As of August 10, Berkshire Hathaway's stake in Google (Alphabet) has exceeded $24.2 billion, accounting for 8.6% of its equity investment portfolio, making it Berkshire's fifth-largest holding. The company began investing in Google last year during Warren Buffett's tenure as CEO and has continued to increase its stake under current CEO Greg Abel. Google's revenue in the most recent quarter reached $119.8 billion, a 24% year-over-year increase, with operating income growing 30% to $40.8 billion. Berkshire recently also invested $10 billion in Google, one of its largest deals in years. Analysts believe this reflects Abel's emphasis on Google as its most important AI investment, especially after selling Amazon stock.
