BofA Raises 2030 Server CPU Market Forecast to Over $210 Billion from $170 Billion, Driven by AI Agents
Bank of America (BofA) has increased its 2030 server CPU market forecast, now expecting it to exceed $210 billion, up from the previous estimate of $170 billion. This revised projection is nearly five times the estimated 2025 market size. The bank attributes this surge to AI agents, which are shifting CPUs from supporting roles towards the orchestration control plane, potentially altering the CPU-to-GPU ratio from 1:4 towards 1:1. BofA anticipates a 36% annual growth rate through 2030, with AMD remaining its top CPU pick and Nvidia being the overall sector favorite.
