Swissquote cuts full-year guidance after H1 net crypto income plunged 66.2% to 14.6 million Swiss francs, sending shares down 14%
Swiss banking firm Swissquote Group cut its full-year revenue and profit forecasts, citing a weaker-than-expected crypto environment. The company's crypto trading volume also dropped 63.5% to 2.58 billion Swiss francs. Swissquote noted that price declines across most cryptocurrencies caused it to miss initial assumptions, with Bitcoin falling 33% and Ether dropping 47% in the six months ended June 30. The firm also booked a 5.3 million-franc loss on its crypto inventory.
