Binance founder Changpeng Zhao stated that as of August 2026, over 20.07 million Bitcoin have been mined, with only 4.4% of the supply remaining. He estimated that 10% to 20% of existing Bitcoin are lost, stuck, or unrecoverable, and considers Bitcoin to be a deflationary asset.
