Hong Kong stocks opened higher and continued to rise, with the Hang Seng Index up 1.38% and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 1.68%, as internet and tech stocks generally rose. In commodity futures, China's domestic commodity futures all rose, with the container freight index surging 10% and crude oil rising over 4%.
