Japan's Metaplanet to launch U.S. bitcoin treasury company via $134.6 million deal, acquiring 95.7% stake in Nasdaq-listed Super League Enterprise. The investment involves contributing 2,100比特币 (valued at $132.1 million) and $2.5 million in cash. Super League Enterprise, a gaming-media firm, will be renamed Superplanet and trade under the ticker SUPA. Its shares surged over 70% following the announcement. Metaplanet CEO Simon Gerovich stated this initial investment used less than 5% of their Bitcoin holdings, with potential for further contributions. The transaction is expected to close in Q4.
