Trump announces University of Miami gifted 1994 Ibogaine IND application to U.S. government
President Donald J. Trump announced that Secretary Kennedy has received a "Historic Gift" from the University of Miami: its original 1994 Ibogaine Investigational New Drug (IND) application. This aims to provide direct access to foundational FDA authorization to accelerate Ibogaine's development as a medical treatment in the U.S. for serious mental illness, building on an Executive Order Trump signed in April to accelerate such treatments. Trump noted Joe Rogan was present with him and veterans in the Oval Office when discussing Ibogaine's benefits for veterans.
