Samsung Display unveils new OLED technology to improve brightness uniformity in foldable screens
Samsung Display on Wednesday unveiled new OLED technology aimed at improving the brightness consistency of foldable screens. The company showcased a 7.6-inch "Wide View" display at the IMID 2026 exhibition to address the brightness limitations in the curved areas of flexible OLED screens. Currently, the brightness in the creased, curved areas of commercially available foldable screens can be as low as about 40% of that in normal areas. In addition, Samsung Display also announced larger stretchable displays and panels for AI devices and future automobiles.
