South Korea's FSC announces its 7th Financial Hub Policy Plan for 2026-2028, aiming to boost financial innovation, infrastructure, capital markets, and provide hub support. The plan includes promoting innovative financial services, improving regulatory sandbox operations, facilitating the convergence of financial and non-financial services, upgrading capital market regulations for foreign investors, and supporting overseas expansion for domestic firms. Additionally, the Financial Hub Development Committee approved evaluation criteria for designating Jeonbuk State as a financial hub, with an assessment to be conducted in the second half of this year and a decision by year-end.
