US Mortgage Demand Stalled Last Week as 30-Year Fixed Rates Remained Unchanged at 6.77%, But Rates Have Started to Rise Again This Week
Total mortgage application volume was essentially flat, down 0.4% from the previous week. Applications to refinance a home loan rose 2% for the week, while applications to purchase a home fell 2%. Mortgage rates have turned slightly higher again to start this week, according to a separate survey.
