TJX Companies stock dropped 1.3% despite beating earnings expectations, as its largest division underperformed and management forecast slower Q3 growth
The retailer reported adjusted earnings of $1.22 per share against an expected $1.19, with sales roughly matching expectations at $15.2 billion. However, its Marmaxx division, which includes T.J. Maxx and Marshalls, underperformed, leading management to project Q3 growth of only 2%-3%.
