Daniel Wang, Executive Director of the Insurance Department at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), stated at the Singapore College of Insurance's 2026 Graduation Ceremony that Singaporean life and health insurers paid out S$5.79 billion (approximately US$4.27 billion) in claims and maturities in the first quarter of 2026, while general insurers paid S$1.8 billion (approximately US$1.33 billion) in claims in 2026.
