Circle Internet Group expects the stablecoin market to reach trillions of dollars, with its Arc mainnet scheduled to launch on September 16.
Circle Internet Group outlined its expansion strategy for USDC, payment infrastructure, and the Arc blockchain during its earnings call Q&A. The CEO stated that the current stablecoin circulation is approximately $300 billion, but the company believes the long-term opportunity lies in a multi-trillion dollar market, which needs to be achieved through partnerships with financial institutions, technology companies, and fintech platforms. The Arc mainnet will be a stablecoin-native blockchain where Gas fees are paid in USDC, aiming to reduce friction for end-users and developers. Additionally, Circle's euro stablecoin, EURC, has surpassed 400 million euros in circulation, becoming the largest digital euro in the market.
