Samsung SDI to sell 4.45 trillion won ($3.22 billion) stake in Samsung Display to fund future growth businesses
Samsung SDI said Friday it will sell part of its stake in affiliate Samsung Display worth 4.45 trillion won (US$3.22 billion) to secure funds to invest in future growth businesses. Samsung SDI will sell 13.09 million shares in Samsung Display, or about 33 percent of its current holdings, at 340,000 won per share, to be repurchased by Samsung Display as treasury stock, according to a regulatory filing.
