Microsoft officially accepts IREN's Horizon 1 data center, triggering the first billing of the $9.7 billion contract, IREN's stock price rose 6% before giving back gains
Microsoft has officially accepted the first of four data centers built for it by IREN—Horizon 1—marking the first billing under IREN's five-year, $9.7 billion contract with Microsoft. Following this news, IREN's stock price surged 6% to $45.26 at one point, but later pared gains to $42.54. Meanwhile, TeraWulf's stock price rose 1% to $16.61, while Cipher Digital's stock price fell 5% to $16.35. Microsoft and NVIDIA's stock prices were largely flat. Additionally, NVIDIA granted IREN's Childress campus Exemplar Cloud certification after GB300 testing.
