Lebanon's economy has shifted from a brief post-crisis recovery to a sharp decline due to ongoing conflict, with real GDP projected to contract by 6.4% in 2026, the World Bank stated. The report noted that the conflict has damaged housing and infrastructure, displaced communities, disrupted supply chains, and severely impacted tourism and domestic demand. Furthermore, consumer prices face new pressures, with inflation expected to accelerate to 17.5%.
