Reserve Bank of India: $65.4 billion flowed in through special foreign currency deposits, mainly from overseas Indians.
India has garnered $65.397 billion through its 35 million overseas diaspora's special Foreign Currency Non-Resident (FCNR(B)) deposits as of August 21, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) said in its latest data released on Saturday. Along with overseas foreign currency debt and external commercial borrowings, the total inflow reached $72.85 billion.
