Motley Fool analysts predict that the Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT), which is heavily invested in NVIDIA and Broadcom, could see its share price exceed $1,000 in the next decade.
Motley Fool analysts point out that the Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT) has achieved an annualized return of 24% over the past decade. If this growth rate is maintained, its share price could rise from the current approximately $120 to over $1,000 in the next decade. The fund has significant holdings in NVIDIA (17.2%) and Broadcom (4.2%), benefiting from the strong growth in the AI semiconductor industry, with global semiconductor sales projected to double to $2 trillion by 2036. However, analysts also warned of risks such as increased competition in AI semiconductors and AI productivity growth falling short of expectations.
