However, in 2025, women in the US are projected to account for only 26% of hires in AI-skilled roles, compared to 50% in non-AI roles. Furthermore, LinkedIn data indicates that women hold only 13% of C-level leadership positions in AI companies across 27 countries globally. Experts point out that this is not just a skills issue but also involves cultural and structural barriers in recruitment and promotion processes.
