India's market regulator rejected an Adani group-linked fund's settlement application because its terms were not up to the mark.
According to The Economic Times, India's market regulator (SEBI) has rejected settlement applications from overseas funds holding significant stakes in Adani Group companies, stating that the terms offered did not meet the regulator's requirements. As many as 13 overseas portfolio investors had sought to settle an investigation that began in 2020, which aimed to ascertain whether these funds were genuine public shareholders or entities acting on behalf of the Adani Group founders.
