Metals Exploration Aims for December 2026 Production at Nicaragua's La India Gold Project
Metals Exploration announced that its wholly-owned La India Gold Project in Nicaragua is progressing well, with first production expected in December 2026. As of August 15, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical installation for the project's process plant was approximately 50% complete, while earthworks and civil foundation works were 93% and 92% complete, respectively. The company has secured a $27 million equipment financing facility and has drawn down $20.2 million, but some imported materials have experienced delivery delays due to international shipping disruptions caused by the conflict in Iran.
