The U.S. dollar hovered near multi-month lows after the U.S. Treasury announced it would double the size of long-dated bond buybacks to $4 billion per operation, sparking concerns about debt.
The dollar recorded its largest weekly drop against Bitcoin in nearly three and a half years on Sunday, and also fell sharply against gold, as markets worried that a U.S. attempt to depress yields would lead to a weaker dollar. Traders are focused on policy speeches from the U.S. and Japan this week, as well as details of U.S. sanctions on Iran.
