The U.S. Department of Energy (DoE) announced $500 million in grants to seven companies for projects developing domestic critical minerals processing, battery recycling, and advanced battery materials. This grant is the third round of funding under the DoE's Battery Materials Processing and Battery Manufacturing and Recycling program, aiming to expand U.S. processing and recycling capacity and reduce reliance on foreign sources.
