Billionaire Ron Baron's firm, Baron Capital, disclosed a $24.9 billion position in SpaceX (SPCX) as of Q2 2026, making it the largest holding at 37.38% of its $66.64 billion portfolio.
The Q2 13F filing, which became public today, reveals that Baron Capital holds 145,775,000 SpaceX shares. This marks the first time the private market position has appeared in public filings following SpaceX's June 12 IPO. Despite the current share price of $136.97, which puts the position underwater compared to an average cost basis of $170.86, Baron is known for his long-term conviction, having held Tesla through significant volatility. Baron projects SpaceX to be worth "at least $40 trillion" within 10 to 15 years.
