The AI assistant, currently in private testing, has been praised for its capabilities but has drawn criticism for its extensive access to user data, including email, messages, and device information. Testers highlight concerns over its terms of service, which grant Instinct a "perpetual and irrevocable" license to use and modify user materials, including for AI model training, and allow it to enter into binding agreements on users' behalf. Issues such as the inability to delete Gmail records (later fixed), continued inbox summarization after disconnection, and vulnerability to phishing have also been reported.
