Chinese rooftop solar developer PCG Power plans to launch an electricity trading platform next month, targeting a trading volume of 10 billion kilowatt-hours by 2027.
PCG Power Chairman Li Wenxuan stated that policy reforms have eroded the profitability of renewable energy but created opportunities in the power trading sector. The company also provides energy storage services and manages power procurement for large industrial users, with plans to achieve a trading volume of 10 billion kilowatt-hours by 2027, enough to meet the annual electricity demand of a small European country.
