Lowe's (LOW) lowered its full-year sales and comparable sales outlook, but its Q2 adjusted EPS exceeded expectations, with the stock rising 2.0% on August 19.
The company's management lowered its full-year sales forecast to $92 billion, expecting comparable sales to remain largely flat. Lowe's total sales for the second quarter increased by 8.3% to $25.96 billion, but organic comparable sales grew by only 0.2%, falling short of the expected 0.8%. Adjusted diluted earnings per share were $4.40, exceeding market expectations of $4.22.
