NVIDIA Launches Entry-Level Robotics Computing Platform Jetson Orin Nano 2, Delivering 2x Inference Performance and 40% Lower Power Consumption Compared to Previous Generation
NVIDIA announced the platform on Tuesday ET, aiming to extend AI capabilities from data centers to cost-sensitive, power-sensitive, and real-time computing-sensitive edge AI applications such as robots and drones. The Jetson Orin Nano 2 is equipped with an 8-core processor, 8GB of memory, and an AI hashrate of 78 trillion operations per second. It is compatible with NVIDIA's software ecosystem for robotics and edge AI, capable of running large language models and visual language models. The new product is expected to be available in the first half of 2027.
