UBS Evidence Lab data shows that as of August 9, global MLCC distributor inventory volume decreased by another 8% compared to four weeks ago (July 11), continuing to hit a new historical low. At the same time, inventory value increased by 10% and the unit price index rose by 7% during the same period. UBS believes that the tightening of supply and demand will originate from AI-related demand and distributor channels, and then spread to the overall market. It maintains a "buy" rating on Samsung Electro-Mechanics, Murata Manufacturing, and TDK, and a "neutral" rating on Taiyo Yuden.
