Revolut has begun rolling out its first euro-pegged stablecoin, EURR, to customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal. The stablecoin, issued by Bridge Building S.A., is designed to maintain a value of 1 euro and is backed by reserves held by the issuer in accordance with MiCA requirements. EURR will be fully integrated into Revolut's retail app, allowing eligible customers to transfer on-chain euro-denominated assets between euros and cryptocurrencies, and supporting multiple blockchain networks and external wallets. Revolut plans a broader deployment across the European Economic Area later this year, along with the launch of other currency-denominated stablecoins.
