Aker BP has commenced production from the Alve Nord, Idun Nord, and Ørn fields, which are part of the Skarv Satellite Project. These developments hold nearly 120 million barrels of oil equivalent (mboe) in recoverable resources and aim to improve flexibility and prolong the operational life of the existing Skarv field infrastructure. The company stated that efficient use of existing infrastructure has kept the CO₂ intensity of production at around 4.5kg per barrel of oil equivalent. Aker BP CEO Karl Johnny Hersvik highlighted the milestone, emphasizing that the project strengthens one of their most important production areas and will generate significant value for many years.
