The Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China publicly solicited opinions on August 25 for the "National Brain-Computer Interface Industry Standard System Construction Guide (2026 Edition)" (Draft for Comment). This guide aims to build a standard system covering seven major parts: basic commonality, hardware, software and algorithms, data and communication, products and systems, industry applications, and security and governance. It plans to formulate and revise more than 40 related standards by 2028, and accumulate more than 80 standards by 2030, to promote brain-computer interface technology from laboratories to human trials and clinical applications.
