Shinhan Financial Group, one of South Korea's five largest financial conglomerates, will use Visa's stablecoin platform to verify core functions including issuance, remittance, and redemption. The partnership also aims to design a Korea-specific business model and develop AI-powered payment models. This marks the first time a top-tier South Korean financial group formally adopts Visa's enterprise stablecoin infrastructure, launched in July, for domestic settlement testing. They also plan pilot projects for stablecoin integration into bank card payments and the expansion of business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-customer (B2C) payments.
