Vietnam and Myanmar agreed to boost annual bilateral trade by nearly 70% to $1 billion, marking the first visit by a Vietnamese foreign minister since Myanmar's 2021 military takeover. The agreement was announced by the Vietnamese government on Thursday, following Vietnamese Foreign Minister Le Hoai Trung's visit to Naypyidaw on August 26.
