This follows the recall of 4.3 million vehicles by Tesla and eight Chinese EV manufacturers announced on August 21. The action will also review the safety of advanced driver-assistance and autonomous driving systems, cybersecurity, and data security, among other aspects, and require automakers to submit self-inspection reports by the end of 2026.
