Silver September futures opened at $68.09/ounce on Thursday, up 0.1% after inflation report, reaching $68.99
Silver September futures opened at $68.09 per ounce on Thursday, August 27, 2026, up 0.1% from Wednesday's closing price, and reached $68.99 by 8:17 a.m. ET. This followed the Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE) report, which showed monthly and yearly price growth largely in line with analysts' expectations. The report did little to resolve the Federal Reserve's internal division on next month's interest rates, with investors now focused on Fed Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole summit on Friday.
