Google's AI Mode can now track flight prices and help book hotels, positioning itself as an AI travel agent
Google announced on Thursday that its conversational search experience, AI Mode, has been updated to allow users to track flight prices, book hotels, and view costs in points or miles. This move aims to evolve AI Mode beyond information retrieval to actively manage parts of the trip-planning and booking process. Flight price tracking is available in over 180 countries, while hotel booking has begun rolling out in the U.S. in English, with plans to expand in the coming weeks through partners like Booking.com, Expedia, and Marriott International.
