An airstrike at a fuel market near Chad's border with Sudan on Thursday killed 12 people and injured seven, Chadian officials said. Chad accused the Sudanese army of carrying out the attack and has deployed about 100 armored vehicles and signal jamming vehicles in the area. Sudan expressed surprise and denied the accusations, saying its forces were fulfilling their constitutional duties while respecting the sovereignty of neighboring countries. The U.S. Embassy in Khartoum also condemned the Sudanese army for launching the attack.
