BlackBerry CEO John Giamatteo stated in the latest "The Tech Download" podcast that the company has transitioned from its mobile phone business, with current revenue primarily derived from secure communications and the QNX automotive embedded software. He pointed out that the QNX business is crucial for the company's future development in physical AI fields such as autonomous vehicles and industrial robots, and is currently embedded in 275 million vehicles. Giamatteo revealed that QNX has an order backlog worth $950 million, with a portion coming from its robotics business. Investors have reacted positively to the company's new strategy, with BlackBerry's stock price doubling this year.
