NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang Warns of 2-3 Year Power Bottleneck for AI Data Centers, Evercore ISI Bullish on Bloom Energy
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang said on Wednesday that it could take two to three years to secure power for AI data centers, even as demand for the company's chips continues to outstrip supply. Evercore ISI analyst Nicholas Amicucci believes this creates an opportunity for Bloom Energy (BE), whose on-site fuel cells are designed to power data centers without waiting years for grid connection. NVIDIA has already invested $1.5 billion this month and provided credit support to address power issues at SB Energy's Ohio data center campus. Bloom Energy's Q2 revenue grew 165.5% year-over-year to $1.07 billion, and it raised its 2026 revenue outlook to $3.9 billion to $4.2 billion. However, Bloom Energy's Project Jupiter in New Mexico, in partnership with Oracle, had its air quality permits and water rights temporarily frozen by the New Mexico Supreme Court on Sunday.
