CEO Max Levchin stated that while the U.S. consumer is generally healthy, high gas prices, currently at a national average of $4.09 per gallon, are weighing on shoppers, leading them to use Affirm's services more for budgeting during inflationary times. The annual inflation rate was 3.7% in July, and the Federal Reserve, led by Chairman Kevin Warsh, will decide on its next policy move at a September meeting.
