Ayo Akinyele, Senior Director of Engineering at Ripple, stated that the goal is to ensure critical financial infrastructure can fully evolve before quantum computing becomes a direct threat, without disrupting existing systems, assets, and users. The company has developed a four-phase plan for the XRP Ledger, which includes assessing network exposure, testing alternative cryptographic techniques, running existing and quantum-resistant security solutions in parallel, and finally migrating the network. The plan also includes emergency measures to address the rapid advancement of quantum computing.
