Archer Aviation's move aims to provide a testing base for its Midnight electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft and leverage Hawthorne Airport's central geographic location to develop it into a potential hub for future air taxi services. The company also plans to open up new revenue streams by charging other eVTOL operators for services.
