Concurrently, the Composite PMI Output Index rose by 0.2 percentage points to 49.5%, suggesting an overall recovery in the business activity of Chinese enterprises. The Non-Manufacturing Business Activity Index stood at 49.3%, unchanged from the previous month. A PMI above 50% reflects economic expansion, while a reading below 50% indicates economic contraction.
