Jio Platforms, India's largest digital and telecom operator, has received regulatory approval to launch its initial public offering (IPO), expected to raise approximately $3.9 billion. The company is majority-owned by Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries, which holds over 66%, while Meta Platforms' affiliate Jaadhu Holdings owns nearly 10%, and Google International holds 7.7%. According to the IPO filing, neither Meta nor Google will sell their stakes in the company. The IPO will offer up to 270 million shares, and the proceeds will be used to repay debt owed by its subsidiary, Reliance Jio Infocomm.
