Zcash privacy transaction proof generation speed significantly improved, from 3 seconds to under 200 milliseconds.
Developers of the Zcash privacy blockchain have released a new set of cryptographic tools called Zakura Common, which can reduce the proof generation time for privacy transactions on mobile devices from over 3 seconds to under 200 milliseconds, an improvement of more than 14 times. The software aims to address the significant delays users face when sending private ZEC and supports Zcash in achieving Visa-level transaction speeds. ZEC had risen by approximately 5% to around $839 after the announcement but pulled back on Monday morning with the broader market.
